Missions Education Fund is a Christian organization that helps children with economic, social, and physical poverty to receive education enabling them to become responsible, mature Christian adults.
Many children in the developing world need help. Some are orphaned due to war or tragedy in their families, while others come from poor families who are unable to provide the funds to allow them to go to school and the result is a very uncertain future.
Your sponsorship serves as a light of hope in the life of one of God’s precious ones – hope for today, hope for tomorrow, and hope for eternity. The caring attention and support from sponsors like you can provide for these children, transform their lives by keeping them in school, and give them an opportunity to help break the cycle of poverty.
Missions Education Fund has helped over 1000 students in 19 countries including Sierra Leone, Togo, Congo, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Rwanda, Nigeria, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Colombia, Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Haiti and Papua New Guinea.
About Us
In 2007, Missions Education Fund, known as MEF, was inspired by God in our church and birthed in Sierra Leone to touch children’s lives through education. We help families alleviate unimaginable poverty through every dime that is collected. The aim of MEF is to provide financial assistance to children from low-income families for their schooling, and through education, break the cycle of poverty. The ministry was later set up as a registered charity organization in 2017. Nearly 115 million children do not attend school.
An estimated 130 million of the world’s 15- to 24-year-olds cannot read or write.

There are 22 countries where more than half the population is illiterate; 15 are in Africa.
About 75 percent of children out of primary school in developing countries have mothers who did not go to school.
